As part of our 101 Series, we’d like to announce three new books.
Following on the heels of the successful DITA 101: Fundamentals of DITA for Authors and Managers, we’re working on three new titles.
Steve Manning is hard at work on Publishing DITA 101. The process of getting from DITA to the end user is like the elephant in the room – no one talks about it. Until now. This book describes the DITA publishing process, including the technologies and the tools, and explains how to plan and execute your DITA publishing strategy.
Charles Cooper is working on Metadata 101. It provides an introduction to Metadata, Taxonomies and Tagging; what they are, how they can be used to help you as you create information, and how they can help your users find information in ebooks, websites, intranets, social media and even printed materials.
And our colleague Scott Abel is writing Social Networking 101. Jam-packed with real-world advice, tips and tricks from the social networking trenches, Social Networking 101 is a quick read that provides actionable guidance for marketing and communication professionals.
The books are scheduled for release by the end of June 2010.
