The Facilitated Content Audit and Modeling Session™ can be 3-5 days, depending on the amount of information you need to model.

You will learn:

Models are the heart of a successful unified content strategy. Some organizations prefer working through their content analysis with our help. In this case we come in and work through the full analysis with your team, helping them to:

  • Perform a top-level and in-depth information analysis
  • Identify different types of reuse
  • Develop:
    • Information product models
    • Element models
    • Structural reuse map
    • Content reuse map
    • Metadata

We not only assist you to model what you have, but help you to redesign your content to reflect more effective models. We also help you to create XML-ready models that can be used to create an effective DTD/schema as soon as you are ready to move in that direction.

Objectives

At the end of the session, you will have the beginnings of an information specification that identifies your semantic models as well as the required metadata. The information specification includes information such as:

  • Semantic structure
  • Base element definitions
  • Indication of frequency of elements
  • Indication of whether elements are mandatory or optional
  • Structural reuse map
  • Content reuse map
  • Identification of boilerplate content
  • Metadata

We can work with one information set or as many different sets (often running parallel analysis sessions), as you require. Note: It may not be possible to analyze all your material in this timeframe, you may need to continue the task on your own.
